Chief Ministers of all seven provinces have gathered in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati Province, to pile pressure on the central government to transfer the powers to the provinces.
They are holding a meeting in Hetauda today demanding that the provincial governments be empowered in accordance with the constitutional provisions.
Discussions between the local level and the provincial governments regarding the implementation of federalism have started in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati Province.
In the meeting, they alleged that even after six years have passed by since the country went into federalism, the central government has suppressed the rights laid down in the Constitution.
