Police have arrested 63 individuals including Chandra Kanta (CK) Raut, the Member of Parliament and Chairman of Janamat Party, from Kathmandu on Monday.
Central Secretary of Janamat Party BP Shah informed Nepalkhabar that the police arrested them while they were marching from Babarmahal to Maitighar to celebrate 'Dhoti Day'.
They have been kept at Mahendra Police Club. According to police sources, they were arrested after they started staging in a prohibited area.
“Police have arrested 63 members of Janamat Party including Chairman Dr. CK Raut while marching from Babar Mahal to Maitighar to celebrate Dhoti Day. Now, we have been kept in Mahendra Police Club,” Shah said.
