The FIFA World Cup match between Iran and Wales ended in a goalless draw in the first half underway at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Qatar on Friday.
None of the teams scored any goals and played a draw in the first half. Iran’s Ali Gholizadeh struck the ball into the goalpost of the opponent in the 16th minute. However, Iran failed to use the opportunity to take the lead after Ali Gholizadeh’s shot-at-target ball was declared offside by the umpire.
Similarly, Sardar Azmoun attempted to strike a ball into the goalpost in the 7th minute of the match but it was easily saved by the goalkeeper since the strike was not so powerful.
America and England who belong to the same group will lock horns today midnight (12:45 am Saturday).
