Yeti Airlines, a private sector air service provider, has procured two ATR-72 aircraft.
The aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu at 5:20 pm and 5:30 pm on Thursday evening.
The airlines company has brought two planes from Bangladesh to expand its competitive capacity in domestic flights.
Yeti airlines is planning to add more flights to the destinations they are currently flying to. The new aircraft has got the call sign 'Nine-N AOF' and 'Nine-N AOH'.
Yeti Airlines Chief Executive Officer Subas Sapkota has said that the company has adopted a policy to bring in more aircraft in order to make domestic air services more convenient and accessible.
The purchased planes were brought to Nepal by the captains of Yeti Airlines from Dhaka, Bangladesh, said Sudarshan Bartaula, the spokesperson and chief security officer of the company.
"Even if a new aircraft arrives, new destinations will not be added immediately," said Bartaula.
The company will provide flight services through the added planes a week after completing the necessary paperwork.

Yeti Airlines was operating domestic flights through jetstream aircraft until 2074.
The first ATR-72 aircraft was imported in July 2017.
Yeti Airlines had 5 ATR-72 aircraft prior to this. Now there are seven such planes.
The ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft represents the latest generation. This aircraft with a capacity of 70-72 seats is considered to be the best aircraft with a turboprop engine. It is said to be comfortable as it has less noise and vibration than other planes.
The ATR 72-500 with the PW-127 engine is considered the best for an aircraft of this size.
Yeti has prepared to become a public company by bringing in new shareholders. Subas Sapkota has been appointed as the chief executive officer of the company.
Yeti Airlines has recently become a limited company with Asian Life Insurance as an investor. It is aiming to issue an IPO for the general public within this year.
Yeti Airlines has been operating for 25 years. Ang Tshering Sherpa founded the airlines company. This company under Thamserku Group is operating flights to Bhadrapur, Bhairahawa, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Simara by making Kathmandu airport as its base. It is also operating a mountain flight from Kathmandu to the Everest region. Chartered and non-scheduled flights are also being conducted internationally.
