Central member of the Nepali Congress and former minister Keshab Kumar Budhathoki has passed away. He was 80.
Prostate-cancer-ridden Budhathoki passed away in the course of treatment at Birat Medical College in Biratnagar on Monday night.
Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has offered tribute to the departed soul and extended condolences to the family members of Bhudhathoki through social media.
"Nepali Congress leader, central member, and former minister Keshab Kumar Budhathoki passed away in the course of treatment at Birat Medical College in Biratnagar. Outspoken in nature, the passing away of Keshab dai will be missed especially in the land of Jhapa. We will be commemorating his contributions forever. Sincere tributes to the departed soul of respected Keshab dai and heartfelt condolences to his family members, his well-wishers, and the entire party rank and file," writes Sharma.
Leader Budhathoki had been suffering a prostate cancer for a long. He was undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment until his demise.
Budhathoki alias White Tiger, a resident of Arjundhara Municipality, became minister during both the Panchayat rule and the republic.
Leader Budhathoki became General Administration Minister, State Minister for Water Resources, Rastriya Panchayat Member, Pradhanpancha, and District Panchayat President during his lifetime.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter. His mortal remains will be kept at the Jhapa District Party Office for condolences today, it is learnt.
