The Judicial Council (JC) has advised the Chief Justice to terminate two judges facing allegations of misconducts.
A meeting of the JC held on Sunday made a recommendation for the termination of Judge Dr Nawaraj Thapaliya of High Court and District Court Judge Ambika Prasad Niraula.
Similarly, a warning has been issued to Judge Raj Kumar Koirala. He was drawn into controversy over an audio tape in which he is heard asking for a 20 million in bribe from the advocate of Ichchha Raj Tamang.
The JC was investigating one judge from the High Court and three judges from the district court.
Judge Parshuram Bhattarai had tendered his resignation on July 21 while the investigation was still going on.
