Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal has held a meeting with External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar in New Delhi today.
Contemporary political issues, matters of mutual interests and various aspects of bilateral relations between Nepal and India were discussed during the meeting.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar said, “Happy to receive Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal of Nepal today in Delhi. Pleased to hear from her about progress in various aspects of our bilateral relations.”
Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal left for India today to participate in the eighth Asia Economic Dialogue (AED-2024).
A Nepali delegation headed by Foreign Secretary Lamsal will participate in the inaugural session of the event to be held in Pune, India from February 29 to March 2.
During the visit, the delegation will hold a bilateral meeting in New Delhi with Foreign Secretary of India Vinay Mohan Kwatra, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Representatives from different countries are participating at the program where discussions will be held on contemporary affairs focusing on the theme “Geo-economic Challenges in an Era of Flux”.
Secretary Lamsal is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on March 1.
