Four parties of the newly formed ruling coalition have struck a deal on the distribution of ministries.

A meeting of the ruling coalition held at Baluwatar this morning decided to allocate eight ministries for CPN (UML), five for CPN (Maoist Center), four for Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and two for Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), sources have said.

The remaining four ministries have been put aside for the fringe parties which may join the coalition, according to sources.

Maoist Center Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun is set to head the Finance Ministry while RSP President Rabi Lamichhane will take charge of the Home Ministry.

Preparations are being made to administer oath to them today itself, sources said.
