The four-party newly formed ruling alliance has struck a deal on the ministerial portfolios on Wednesday.
According to the power-sharing deal sealed among the new coalition parties today, the Rastriya Swatantra Pary (RSP) has got four ministerial portfolios.
The RSP will lead the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the sources said.
Rabi Lamichhane will take charge of the Home Ministry, Sumana Shrestha will lead the Education Ministry while Labor Ministry will be assigned to Dol Prasad Aryal.
Similarly, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha will head the Ministry of Youth and Sports, according to sources.
Following a tug-of-war this morning, the four-party ruling coalition struck a deal on the distribution of ministries. According to the agreement reached at Baluwatar, CPN (UML) has got eight ministries, CPN (Maoist Center) has received five ministries, four for Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and two ministries have been given to Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).
The remaining four ministries have been put aside for the fringe parties which may join the coalition, according to sources.
