Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 13.51 points on Thursday, coinciding with the entry of Barshaman as the Finance Minister.

Maoist Center Deputy General Secretary Pun took charge of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday following the dissolution of the previous ruling coalition and the formation of the new ruling coalition.

With the increment in the share value, the bench mark index has crossed the transaction of Rs 3 billion with the sale of 8.9 million units of shares, the NEPSE said.

While the share price of 176 companies increased, 59 companies witnessed a fall in the share value. The share price of 11 companies remained unchanged.

People’s Hydropower Company remained the top gainer with 10 percent increase while the NRICP posted the highest trading volume of Rs 560 million worth of shares being sold and purchased.
