Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a courtesy call on newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha on Thursday.
Held at the Foreign Ministry in Singha Durbar on Thursday afternoon, the two leaders discussed the issues related to bilateral ties and the cooperation between the countries.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Ambassador Chen said, “Glad to pay a courtesy call on Hon. DPM and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha today. We had deep and friendly conversations on bilateral relations and cooperation.”
Congratulations are pouring in on Shrestha after he was elected as the Foreign Minister by the new ruling coalition on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava met with Minister Shrestha and congratulated him for his appointment as the Foreign Minister.
