Nepal holds tourism promotional program in Berlin

Nepal's tourism industry recently held a promotional program in Berlin, Germany, to showcase the country's tourism offerings to a wider audience.

According to the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter, Nepal also participated in the world's largest tourism trade fair, ITB Berlin 2024, which took place in the same city. This participation offered a valuable platform to connect with travel industry professionals and potential visitors from Germany and beyond.

PATA Nepal has participated in ITB Berlin held from March 5 to March 7 in collaboration with 40 different tourism and hospitality professional companies of the private sector involved in Nepal's tourism business.

The promotional fair organized for the tourism industry is the world's largest and leading travel trade exhibition. In this year's ITB Berlin, more than 5,500 vendors exhibiting companies, and tour operators from 170 countries from around the globe participated in the fair.

Oman, the official sponsor of ITB Berlin 2024, promoted Oman as an attractive destination with a grand presentation at the opening ceremony and invited all the global tourism stakeholders to visit the country.

Nepali Ambassador to Germany Ramkaji Khadka thanked the businessmen for ensuring Nepal's important and influential presence on the world's largest platform for promoting the country's tourism at the inauguration of the Nepal Pavilion.

Adventure tour operators, airlines, hoteliers, tour operators, mountaineering, trekking, and expedition operators, as well as wellness and health tourism enterprises in Nepal, under the Nepal Pavilion, equipped with tourist attractions with a stupa in the center at Messe in Berlin. It has promoted various tourism products and services that provide an immersive and unforgettable experience.

President of PATA Nepal Chapter Vibhuti Chand Thakur thanked all the Nepali tourism professionals for their active participation in ensuring the representation of Nepal in ITB Berlin. Expressing her happiness that PATA Nepal is playing a role in marketing and promoting the country's tourism while keeping the image of Nepal high through the fair, she pledged to be active in sustainable tourism development in Nepal.

Bijay Amatya, a senior tourism businessman and executive manager of Kora Tours participating in the fair, mentioned that Nepal's impressive presentation, high number of participants, and attractive decoration of the stand attracted the attention of the world.
