Argentina entered the last round of 16 in the third group-stage match of the ongoing FIFA World Cup held on Wednesday night.
The first half of the match remained goaless and Argentina came slightly under pressure after Messi failed to convert the penalty into a goal.
Argentina took a lead after Alexis MAC ALLISTER scored a goal in the 46th minute of the second half.
Julian ALVAREZ doubled the score in the 67th minute. Argentina, which faced a defeat at the hands of Saudi Arabia in their first group stage match, emerged the group winner.
Even though Poland lost to Argentina, they also reached the round of 16. Despite win in the other match, Mexico failed to reach the the knockout stage based on goal differences.
