Member of Parliament (MP) Manju Ansari of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has passed away. She was 60.
MP Manju Ansari passed away in the course of treatment at Civil Service Hospital at 7:55 am today, JSP Deputy Parliamentary Party (PP) Leader Nawal Kishor Sah said. Ansari died of cardiac arrest, according to her family sources.
Born on February 2, 1964, Ansari had been elected as the lawmaker under the proportional representation (RP) category from Saptari on April 2, 2023.
The seat was lying vacant after JSP MP Shahnaz Rahman passed away on February 25, 2023.
She was also a JSP politburo member.
