Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has reached Beijing, the capital city of China.
Minister Shrestha landed at the Daxing International Airport in Beijing on Monday morning. He was welcomed by Deputy Director General at the Foreign Ministry of China, Zhang Yiming, Nepali Ambassador to China Bishnu Pukar Shrestha along with the senior officials of the Foreign Ministry of China at the airport.
Minister Shrestha embarked on a week-long visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
Shrestha will hold meetings with Foreign Affairs Minister of China Wang and other secretaries of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan, Chongqing, and Tibet and visit Kailash Manasarovar, the Foreign Ministry said.
Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha is scheduled to meet with Wang Huning, the central chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) today.
Similarly, he will also pay a courtesy call on Deputy Minister of the International Liaison Department of the Chinese Communist Party, Sun Haiyan today itself.
