Renowned singer Rajesh Payal Rai has been arrested in Kathmandu.
Spokesperson of the District Police Range Office, Kathmandu SP Nawaraj Adhikari, informed that three people including singer Rai were arrested while they were going rowdy under the influence of alcohol on Wednesday night.
"All three of them were arrested last night and have been kept in the Police Circle, New Baneshwar" Adhikari said, "an investigation into the case is underway."
According to the Police Range Office, they were arrested from near Madan Bhandari Memorial College in Anamnagar.
They were arrested by the police after locals informed them that they were making noises after drinking alcohol.
Police did not disclose the names of the others.
