Diplomatic efforts underway to rescue Bipin Joshi: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ addressing the fourth convocation ceremony of Far-Western University in Mahendranagar on Sunday.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the government is making diplomatic efforts to rescue the Nepali student held captive by the Palestine militant group, Hamas.

While addressing the fourth convocation ceremony of Far-Western University in Mahendranagar on Sunday, Prime Minister Prachanda, who is also the chancellor of the university, said that the diplomatic efforts are ongoing to rescue Bipi Joshi and expressed deep sorrow over the 10 Nepali students who lost their lives in the Hamas attack.  

“I am deeply saddened by the incident in which 10 Nepali students, who had gone to Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn Program’ lost their lives in the Hamas attack. I express my heartfelt tributes to those killed and extend condolences to the families of the deceased.”

Meanwhile, the prime minister boasted about the prompt response taken by the government in rescuing those injured and affected by the Palestine attack and repatriating the bodies of those killed.

“A Nepali student is still in the captivity of the Hamas,” Prime Minister Prachanda said, “Necessary diplomatic efforts are underway to his safe rescue.”
