The JBC will work towards promoting bilateral trade, investment, tourism and the technology, reads the agreement.

Similarly, FNCCI President Dhakal said the JBC will promote cooperation and bolster the bilateral trade between the two countries.

“ The JBC has been established with the objective of promoting cooperation and assistance between the private sectors between Nepal and Qatar. It will play an instrumental role in attracting the investment of Qatar, a lucrative destination of Nepali migrant workers. The JBC will continue working to benefit from the prosperity of Qatar,” said Dhakal.

Dhakal further said the Council will help bring the Qatari investment in hydroelectricity, tourism infrastructure, information technology and agriculture processing.

After signing the agreement, QCCI President Al Thani said the establishment of the Council will strengthen the bilateral trade and investment.
