The Third Investment Summit has started at Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurated the summit amidst a ceremony a while ago.
More than 1,000 prospective investors from various countries are participating in the much-awaited event.
As many as 113 individuals including noted international figures are scheduled to address the two-day summit.
The government is dangling 151 projects in the summit attended by over 1600 investors from 55 plus countries.
Nepal Investment Board has informed that there will be 23 exhibition stalls along with detailed information on the projects in the conference. Similarly, concept notes would be called for 19 projects.
The Third Investment Summit has been organized with the objective of launching development projects by bringing in foreign direct investment (FDIs) for the economic progress of the Himalayan nation.
