Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ms Kamikawa Yoko, has arrived in Nepal.
Japanese Minister Yoko came to Nepal at the cordial invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha. This is her first official visit to Nepal.
Yoko, who landed a while ago at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), was welcomed by Foreign Secretary of Nepal, Sewa Lamsal.
During her one-day visit, Japanese Minister will meet and hold bilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Shrestha. Foreign Minister Shrestha will host a dinner reception in honor of his Japanese counterpart Yoko.
She is also scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Ramchandra Paudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, according to the Foreign Ministry.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan will return home today itself.
