The meeting of the House of Representatives called for 11 am has been postponed for 2 pm today.

The meeting which was called for Thursday was deferred for 11 am today following the protests by the lawmakers of Nepali Congress.

NC has been disrupting the House meetings demanding the formation of a parliamentary probe committee to investigate Home Minister Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in the misappropriation of the cooperatives’ fund.

A hullabaloo occurred in the federal parliament yesterday after CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli tried to intervene in the protests of NC lawmakers and told them not to bar Home Minister Lamichhane from heading to the rostrum.
