France will take on England in the quarter-final of the ongoing FIFA World Cup underway in Qatar.
France defeated Poland 3-1 in the pre-quarter final held on Sunday.
Kylian Mbappe scored two goals and Olivier Giroud made one goal for France to enter the quarter-final of the World Cup tournament.
Similarly, in the next match held on Sunday, England booked a berth in the quarter-final by beating Senegal.
Despite some challenges the African champions put up in the beginning of the match, they looked weaker after falling behind in the 38th minute. England continued to take advantage when Senegal failed to capitalize on a few opportunities they got. Jordan Henderson opened the scoring in the first half.
Captain Harry Kane netted in the third minute of extra time in the first half. Even in the second half, Senegal could not get back into the game. Bukayo Saka scored the third goal in the 57th minute to give England a comfortable win. England are undefeated in the ongoing World Cup.
In the first match, England defeated Iran 6-2 and played a goalless draw with America. In the final match of the group, England routed Wales 3-0 to reach the knockout stage as group winners.
The quarter-final match between France and England will be held on Saturday night (12:45 am Sunday).
