The main opposition Nepali Congress has said that the budget presented by the government for the next fiscal year 2081/82 does not have anything that would make the common people enthusiastic.

In response to queries from journalists about the budget presented today, NC spokesperson and former Finance Minister Dr Prakasharan Mahat said that it was unlikely that the budget statement would be implemented. He said that the budget lacks prioritization of matters with no action plan to end the long-standing anomalies and aberrations.

The government has presented an estimate of its income and expenditure worth 1 trillion 860 billion and 300 million for the coming fiscal year.
