New elected MPs Devkota and Manange sworn-in as ministers in Gandaki

Newly elected Phanindra Devkota and Rajiv Gurung taking oath from Gandaki Province Chief Krishna Prasad Dhital.

Newly elected Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Pandey has extended the provincial cabinet on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Pandey appointed two more ministers to his cabinet on Tuesday.

Newly elected ministers duo Phanindra Devkota and Rajiv Gurung (Manange) have taken the oath of office and secrecy a while ago.

Province Chief Krishna Prasad Dhital administered them the oath amidst a ceremony organized at the Office of the Province Chief.

Devkota had given the vote of confidence to Pandey by crossing the floor while Manange changed the opposition camp and voted for Pandey.

Devkota took the oath as the Ministry for Energy, Water Resources and Water Supply while Manange was sworn-in as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure, the province secretariat has informed.

Devkota had won the elections with the election symbol of CPN (Maoist Center). He is the leader of Nepal Samajbadi Party led by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

Manange is an independent lawmaker in the 60-member Gandaki Province Assembly.
