Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav and Janamath Party Chairman Dr. CK Raut have filed their candidatures for the elections to the House of Representatives today.
JSP Chairman Yadav and Janamat Party Chairman Raut have filed their candidacies at the office of the chief returning officer of Saptari-2 on Sunday. Raut’s party is contesting elections independently while JSP Chairman Yadav has forged an alliance with the main opposition CPN-UML.
Similarly, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (SLP) leader Jaya Prakash Thakur from the five-party alliance has also filed his nomination.
Thakur, who contested elections as an independent candidate in 2074 BS from this constituency, had received more than 10,000 votes.
