Shree Airlines has conducted a successful test flight on a Das 8 Q400 aircraft at Bharatpur Airport on Thursday morning.
The test flight has been conducted in order to ease the pressure of passengers traveling to Chitwan, a popular tourist destination in Nepal, the Shree Airlines Company has said.
Chitwan is a touristic place as it has Chitwan National Park, and lies in the middle of the East West Highway.
Various sectors including tourism entrepreneurs have appealed to the airlines company to operate flight services to Bharatpur Airport, the company has said.
“The aircraft of Dash 8 Q400 turboprop manufactured in Canada conducted a successful test flight at Bharatpur Airport on Thursday morning,” the company said, “This 80-seater De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400 plane is reliable, soundproof and highly comfortable.”
Shree Airlines had started operating flights to various destinations in Nepal since 2017 with 50-seater two CRJ 200 aircraft and 70-seater two CRJ 700 planes.
It has been able to prove itself as the best service providing airlines in the county with an affordable airfare in a short span of time, claimed the company.

The company has been conducting flights to Bhadrapur, Biratnagar, Bhairhawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Pokhara, Surkhet as well as mountain flights from Kathmandu on CRJ 200/700, and Q400 Das 8 aircraft.
The company said that it will operate regular flight services once the test flight is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
Prior to this, only a 42-seater flight had been conducting flight services to Bharatpur Airport from Kathmandu.
