Shree Airlines has assigned call sign 9N AOM to its newly procured 80-seater aircraft manufactured by De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHcA) (formerly Bombardier).
Previously operated by Horizon Air and Alaska Air in the United States, the De Havilland Canada Q400 Dash 8 is reliable, soundproof, and highly comfortable, the company has claimed.
The aircraft is equipped with the powerful 5400-shaft-horsepower PW150A engine from Pratt & Whitney Canada, according to the company.
A Shree Airlines pilot skillfully navigated this aircraft on a multi-stop international flight, touching down at Tribhuvan International Airport at 1:00 am today. The journey began in Portland, Oregon (USA), and continued with stops in Duluth, Minnesota (USA), Goose Bay, Canada, Keflavík, Iceland, Prague, Czech Republic, Cairo, Egypt, and finally, Muscat, Oman. It took 33 hours to land in Kathmandu from Portland, according to the company.
The company has been offering services to passengers on 10 aircraft including CRJ 200/700 or Q 400 Das.
These aircraft have been operating flight services from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Pokhara, and Surkhet.
