Gadtaula acting Chief Secretary; Aryal transferred to NPC

The government has decided to assign Liladevi Gadtaula as the acting Chief Secretary.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday morning decided to assign secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister, Liladevi Gadtaula, as the acting Chief Secretary, informed Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security DP Aryal.

Gadtaula will discharge the duties and responsibilities as the Chief Secretary until the next chief secretary is appointed.

Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, who was suspended on Sunday over alleged irregularities in printing of excise duty stickers, has been transferred to the National Planning Commission by creating a special post, said Minister Aryal.

Aryal was transferred to the NPC after he refused to step down as the Chief Secretary.

Earlier, then Cief Secretary Lokman Singh Karki had been transferred to the NPC by creating a special position in 2063 BS.
