The 10th National Congress of CPN (Unified Socialist) has started in the federal capital on Sundy. The general convention will run for five days from to elect a 299-member working committee along with 21 office-bearers.
Party Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal is scheduled to inaugurate the convention amidst the participation of senior leaders of various other political parties. Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' will address the inaugural session of the convention, said Unified Socialist leader Somprasad Pandey.
A total of 1,849 delegates from across the country are taking part in the convention. The senior leaders along with the delegates are scheduled to gather at local Bhrikutimandap at 10 o'clock and march towards the convention venue, Nepal Academy convention hall.
