NC issues whip to vote against PM during vote of confidence

Nepali Congress (NC) has issued a whip to its lawmakers not to vote for Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ during the vote of confidence.

Issuing a whip on Thursday, Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak directed NC lawmakers to vote against Prime Minister Prachanda on Friday.

Prime Minister Prachanda is taking the vote of confidence at 11 am on Friday (July 12).

“The NC lawmakers have been directed to be present in the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), not to remain neutral and vote against the motion that Prime Minister Prachanda garners the confidence of the HoR in accordance with Article 100 (2) of the Constitution,” reads the whip.
