Member of Parliament (MP) and the Nepali Congress Bhaktapur District President, Durlav Thapa, has been bereaved of his mother.
Ambika Thapa, the mother of MP Durlav Thapa, passed away on Thursday morning. She was 83.
Octogenarian Thapa passed away in the course of treatment at Madhyapur Hospital.
Her mortal remains were cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat according to the Hindu tradition today, Subhashish Dhakal, the personal secretary of Thapa told Nepalkhabar.
Ambika is survived by her three sons – Durdam Thapa, Durlav Thapa and Prakash Thapa -- and a daughter.
