Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Md. Golam Sarwar, called on Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba in her office in Singh Durbar today.
During the meeting, discussions focused on current state of regional cooperation in SAARC and revitalizing this forum in shared interests of Member States, the Ministry stated.
On the occasion the SAARC Secretary General congratulated Ms Rana on the assumption of important responsibility as the Foreign Minister and the Chair of the SAARC Council of Ministers.
The two dignitaries discussed ongoing initiatives in SAARC, forward movement, and upcoming meetings, according to the SAARC Secretariat.
