National Assembly passes TRC Bill

Today's National Assembly (NA) meeting has unanimously approved a proposal seeking consideration on Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Bill 2079, which was received from the House of Representatives (HoR) along with a message.

The proposal tabled by NA Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal for decision was approved unanimously.
Announcing that the proposal was approved, NA Chairman Dahal has urged the NA members to register their amendment proposal, if they have any, in the legislation section of the NA as per Rule 106 of the NA Regulations 2075.

Earlier, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya tabled the proposal at the NA seeking consideration.

NA members Padam Bahadur Pariyar, Renu Chand, Bishnu Bahadur Bishwakarma, Rukmini Koirala, Kiran Babu Shrestha and Maya Prasad Sharma took part in the deliberation on the Bill.

The next meeting of the NA is to be held on August 22.
