Home team Nepal is taking on Bangladesh in the final match of Group 'A' under the SAFF U-20 Championship today (Thursday).

The match will start at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur at 3 pm.

The winner of this match will enter the semi-finals as the group winner and the loser as the group runner-up.

Sri Lanka crashed out of the Championship after suffering its second successive defeat under Group A. With Sri Lanka's exit, Nepal and Bangladesh have reached the semi-finals ahead of one match each.

While the winner of Group A will play the runner-up of Group B, the group runner-up will play the Group B winner in the semi-finals.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 1-0 in the first match of the group stage, while Bangladesh routed Sri Lanka 2-0 in the second match.

Likewise, India, Bhutan, and Maldives from Group B have the same chances of reaching the semi-finals.

India had a tough 1-0 win over Bhutan in the first match. Bhutan, on the other hand, beat Maldives 2-1 in its second match on Wednesday, keeping their chances of reaching the last four alive.

In the last group stage match, India and Maldives are facing each other on Friday.
