American court documents suggest that Nepali nurse Mamata Kafle Bhatta, who is missing in the United States, is believed to have been murdered by her husband.
According to the American media, court documents strongly suggest that her husband Naresh Bhatta murdered Mrs. Mamata at their residence (Heather Court Home) around July 30 and disposed of her body outside the house.
Naresh Bhatta was arrested by the local police on Thursday and produced to the court on Friday morning (according to American time) on charges of murder and hiding the body.
Authorities in Manassas Park and Prince William County conducted a two-day search of Naresh's home. They accused him of concealing a body and obstructing their investigation. In Virginia, these actions are considered a felony.
Seven News reports that after searching and investigating, authorities believe Mamata Kafle Bhatta is dead. However, they have not yet formally charged anyone with murder in connection with her disappearance.
Naresh told the police that he had last seen Mamata on July 31. On Thursday, the police revealed that she had been missing since July 28.

After a long time, Naresh officially informed that his wife was missing. Mamata's colleagues at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center asked for a 'wellness check' and the police arrived at their home on August 1.
According to media reports, the Bhatta couple has a one-year-old daughter. She has been placed under the supervision of social services.
It is said that Naresh will be produced in the court again on October 24 and that the court will determine the charges to be filed against him after viewing the evidence received.
