Home team Nepal is taking on Bangladesh in the final of the SAFF U-20 Championship today (Wednesday).
The match will start at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur at 2 pm.
Despite ANFA's initial plan to hold the final match at Dasharath Stadium, the game has been rescheduled for the ANFA Complex due to the stadium's poor condition.
Nepal entered the final by defeating Bhutan. Similarly, it defeated Bangladesh in the group stage match to enter the semi-final as the group winner.
Likewise, group runner-up Bangladesh entered the final by defeating defending champion India.
Nepal has not become a champion since it won the SAFF U-18 title in 2017.
Hence, Nepal wants to create a new history by defeating Bangladesh in the home ground. However, it will not be easy for Nepal to defeat Bangladesh which routed the defending champion India.
Nepal's chances of winning the title hinge on their ability to capitalize on scoring chances in today's game, a football analyst has said.
