Tara Air, which stalled its flight services due to inclement weather, is set to resume Pokhara-Jomsom flight services from tomorrow (Tuesday).
With the weather gradually clearing and tourist activity picking up, preparations are underway to resume flight services, Tara Air has said.
Tara Air will temporarily park an aircraft in Pokhara to adjust the Pokhara-Jomsom flight schedule. There will be five flights a day from Pokhara to Jomsom provided there is a favorable weather condition.
The flight of Tara Air will start its services from old Pokhara airport.
Jomsom airport in Mustang is situated at an altitude of 2,736 meters above sea level and its length is 739 meters.
Similarly, for the tourist season, Tara Air has announced the schedule of regular flights for Ramechhap-Lukla-Ramechhap starting September 20. Various airline companies have been operating flights from Manthali Airport (Ramechhap) to Lukla (Solukhumbu) for tourists visiting the Everest region.
Two twin-otter aircraft of Tara Air are scheduled to conduct 10 to 15 flights a day from Manthali Airport in Ramechhap to Lukla in Solukhumbu.
Recently, with the increase in air traffic at Tribhuvan International Airport, airlines have been conducting flights to Lukla from Manthali in Ramechhap. Tara Air has informed that two planes of Tara Air will operate flight services regularly till December 15 from Ramechhap airport.
Tara Air operates flight services from Ramechhap to Lukla, from Kathmandu to Lukla and Phaplu, from Pokhara to Jomsom and from Nepalgunj to Rara, Humla, Bajura, Jumla, Dolpa and other remote areas.
