Canada-bound Nepali Cricket Team bidden adieu (photos)

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organized a farewell program for the Nepali cricket team captained by Rohit Paudel in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

The team has already left for Canada to play ICC World Cup League-2 Tri Series.

Nepal will take on Canada on September 16 and 22 and play Oman on September 18 and 24 in League 2 Tri-Series.

Following League 2, Nepal, Oman and Canada will play T20I Tri-Series. In the Tri Series, Nepal will take on Canada on September 28 and October 1. Similarly, it will take on Oman on September 29 and October 2.

After playing this Tri Series, the Nepali team will leave for America to play League 2.

Nepal, America, Scotland will play T20I Tri-Series in the United States of America. A total of eight teams will participate in the League 2 which will run till 2027.  Top four teams will advance into the World Cup Qualifiers.

Captained by Rohit Paudel, the Nepali cricket team includes Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Anil Shah, Bhim Sarki, Aarif Sheikh, Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee, Arjun Saud, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Gulshan Jha, Rijan Dhakal, Sandeep Lamichhane and Lalit Rajbanshi and Dev Khanal (reserve member) are in the team.
