The first lot of green vegetables grown by Nepali farmers under the agriculture promotion program of the China Foundation for the Rural Development (CFRD) have been shipped to Qatar.

The officials of CFRD and Nepali farmers involved in the program handed over the green vegetables to Qatari officials amidst a program organized at Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday morning.

The vegetables including akabare chilli (dalle chilli), bitter gourds, and beans have been exported.

The vegetables were grown under the agro program of the CFRD in Dakshinkali Rural Municipality.

The CFRD had conducted a three-month training program in collaboration with the CTEVT in 2023 to teach farmers in Tarkeshwar Municipality Chinese agricultural techniques.

In association with N Agro Pvt. Ltd., the CFRC has been running this program in Dakshinkali Rural Municipality for some months.
