Bollywood Director Raj Kumar Hirani to arrive Nepal to watch 'Shambhala'

Renowned Bollywood Director Raj Kumar Hirani is arriving in Nepal.

Hirani is set to arrive in Nepal to watch a Nepali feature film 'Shambala' which hit the screens across the country from today.

According to Minso Limbu, associate producer of the film, Hirani will arrive in Kathmandu in the last week of September.

Apart from watching the film, he will also visit Pokhara during his Nepal visit.

He will stay in Nepal from September 20 to 25.

"He wanted to watch film Shambhala in Berlin, but it was not feasible. When I offered him a link, he refused to watch on a small screen. He is coming to Nepal to watch the film on a large screen and visit Nepal. He will stay in Nepal from September 20 to 25," said Limbu.

Hirani had directed popular Hindi films such as 3 Idiots, PK, Sanju and Dunki, to name but a few.

Bollywood Director Anurag Kashyap and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui also watched the film premiered on Sunday.

Shambhala made its debut at the Berlin International Film Festival and subsequently screened at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where actress Thinley Lhamo earned the prestigious Boccalino d'Oro Award for her outstanding performance.

Thinley Lhamo and Sonam Topden are in the lead roles in the film Shambhala, the second film directed by Min Bham.

Shambhala, a pioneering Nepali feature film selected for the Berlin International Film Festival, delves into the culture of polygamy that once prevailed in Nepal's western mountainous region.

Abinash Bikram Shahi wrote the screenplay for Shambhala, a film directed by Min Bham.
