Gold price sets new record

The relentless rise in the price of gold in the international market has its impact in the domestic market as well.

With the rise of Rs 500 per tola (11.66 grams), its price reached an all-time high to be traded at Rs 157,300 per tola today.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealer's Association, the price of hallmark gold was Rs 156,800 on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. Today's price is the highest in the domestic market to date.

Likewise, the price of silver has increased by Rs 15 per tola on the previous day's price to reach Rs 1,915 today.
