22-year-old killed as bus skids backward in hilly Dailekh road

A vehicle and the youth killed in Dailekh road accident.

A person has died and 22 others sustained injuries when a passenger bus met with an accident at Chalne Chautara in Chamundabindrasaini Municipality-2 in Dailekh.

According to the District Police Office, Dailekh, the bus, Karnali Pradesh 02001 Kha 0906, was heading to Chamunda-2, Chalne Chautara from Surkhet when it skidded backward at around 9 pm yesterday, killing a youth.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Prakash Budha of Chamundasaini Municipality-1, Sinhasain, informed DSP Sunil Dahal of District Police Office, Dailekh.

Budha, critically injured, was rushed to Dullu Hospital but unfortunately had succumbed to injuries before reaching the hospital, a doctored reported.

Bhuda's body has been kept at Dullu Hospital for a postmortem. The other passengers are safe, the police said.

The bus met with an accident after it skidded backward while going upward a steep road, DSP Dahal informed Nepalkhbar.

Meanwhile, the police have taken the vehicle and its driver 28-year-old Rajendra Budha of Birendranagar Municipality-2, Bhureli and are investigating the case.
