Deepak Bhatt's company paid Rs 26 million to Jaybir Deuba's firm: Probe

Jaybir Deuba, the son of former Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, has also been named in the investigation against businessman Deepak Bhatta.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation revealed that Himalayan Asset Management Pvt. Ltd., a company controlled by Bhatta, transferred Rs 26 million to two firms invested in by Jaybir. Investigations revealed that Bhatta's company made payments to Scholar International and DG Hub, two firms in which Jaybir holds investments.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation is also investigating this matter. The Department has filed a case against former Finance Minister and UML Vice-Chairman Bishnu Paudel and statated that it is also investigating Jaybir.

The Department is already investigating Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife, former Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba.
