Polish trekker found dead in Rasuwa airlifted to Kathmandu

Sowinska Agnieszka, 23, a trekker from Poland, has died in the course of mountain trekking in Suryakunda area bordering Rasuwa and Nuwakot.  

According to Keshav Bhattarai, the District Police Office, Rasuwa, Sowinska bearing the Polish passport number 'FE 3051811' passed away around the area of Surya Kunda.

The body was taken to Gosaikunda from Suryakunda by a joint squad from Shree Nath Battalion of the Nepali Army and the District Police Office, Rasuwa before being airlifted to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, the police said.

Real Himalayan Trekking Office had requested the DPO, Rasuwa to bring the body to Katmandu, said Bibek Adhikari, the flight manager of Air Dynasty.  

The cause of the polish citizen's death will come out following the postmortem of the body, said Police Chief Bhattarai.
