Ncell Foundation has provided relief packages to approximately 200 families affected by floods and landslides in Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur.

In line with the Ncell Foundation’s guiding principle - Because Everything is connected - Ncell Foundation on October 7 provided much-needed relief materials to families from five badly affected wards (Ward 4, 7, 8, 10 and 13) of Godavari Municipality, Lalitpur.

Speaking on the occasion, Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, Ncell, said, “At Ncell, we believe that in moments of natural disaster, we must stand by our communities because we are all connected for Nepal.”

In response to the support provided by the Foundation, Mayor of Godawari Municipality Gajendra Maharjan said, "During this calamity-induced difficulty, the relief materials provided by Ncell Foundation to the victims of various wards of our municipality is a great support. We are grateful to Ncell for this support. Now, we have to work on the rehabilitation.”

The relief support included rations, kitchen utensils, hygiene kits, blankets, and floor mats to address the most immediate needs of those hit by the disaster.

Ncell employees visited the affected areas and handed the relief materials directly to disaster-affected families in collaboration with Godawari Municipality and Karmayog Foundation.

Khadka further said, “Ncell Foundation will always remain committed to providing support to those in need, and together with our partners, we are doing everything possible to provide relief, restore hope, and help rebuild the lives of those who lost everything.”

The partnership between Ncell Foundation, Karmayog Foundation, and Godawari Municipality has made a significant difference in reaching out to vulnerable families.

While adhering to the commitment to social responsibility, Ncell Foundation believes that compassion and solidarity can make all the difference in this time of difficulty.

Ncell Foundation will continue to collaborate with concerned government bodies and partners to provide support to the disaster survivors.

The floods, landslides, and inundation induced by incessant rains that poured down on September 27 and 28, wreaked havoc across the country, leaving 246 dead, 178 injured and 18 missing.
