Four people have died and 12 others sustained injuries in a bus accident in Dadeldhura district.
According to DSP Sugandha Shrestha of District Police Office, Dadeldhura, the deceased are 45-year-old Jayamati Bohara, Kamala Bohara, 26, her two-day old newborn and Sahadev Bohara of Murchaudi Punicipality-3, Baitadi.
The ill-fated bus, Na 8 Kha 1078, heading to Purchaudi of Baitadi from Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur met with an accident at Amargadhi Municipality-7, Khasrekhan at around 11:30 pm yesterday.
The bus had fallen some 300 meters down the road after it went out of control, the police said.
A total of 17 people were traveling in the bus. Two among those injured have been referred to Dhangadhi for further treatment. The others are undergoing treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital, according to the police.
