Two killed in Jhapa car-bike collision

Two people have died after a car hit a motorcycle in Jhapa.

Police said that Mohammad Nur Slam, 30, of Govindapur, Ratuwamai Municipality-5, Morang, and NB Mojabul Haque, 35, of the same place, died in an accident that occurred on the Hulaki Highway near Krishna Khola in Gauriganj-2 on Friday evening.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, Mohammad Nur is a motorcycle driver. Haque was riding behind the motorcycle.

They were seriously injured when a car (PR.1-02-002 Cha 5101) heading east hit a motorcycle (BR 38 H 5547) coming from the opposite direction around 1 pm on Friday.

Motorcyclist Slam died during treatment at Damak Hospital in Jhapa, and Haque died during treatment at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.
