A complaint has been filed at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli over the recent land donation issue.
Yuba Raj Paudel alias Safal from Sindhuli lodged the complaint against Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chairman of CPN (UML), at the CIAA in connection with the donation of land by a businessman for the construction of the party office building.
In the complaint, an action has been sought against Oli in line with Corruption Prevention Act, 2059 BS (with amendment).
"Prime Minister Oli and Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket owner Min Bahadur Gurun should be brought to justice in accordance with the Corruption Prevention Act, 2059 BS (with amendment) for their involvement in the land donation issue worth millions of rupees for the construction of the UML central party office," reads the complaint.
The issue of land donated by entrepreneur by Gurung has hit the headlines after Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket owner Gurung donated 10 ropanis and 14 anas of land to UML for the construction of its central party office.
Taking to social networking sites, UML has objected to the criticisms leveled against the UML over the land donated by entrepreneur Gurung.
UML has been renting office buildings in various locations including Dhumbarahi, Thapathali and Chyasal after its central office building at Balkhu was destroyed by the 2015 mega earthquake.
