Nepal has played a goalless draw with Bhutan in the second match of the SAFF Women's Championship held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu today.

In the second match of Group 'B' held at home ground, Nepal played a goalless draw with Bhutan.

Despite its historic dominance over Bhutan in the previous editions, Nepal failed to score a goal against the opponent in today's match.

With the goalless draw, Nepal and Bhutan have shared one point each.

This is the first time in history of the SAFF Championship, the match between Nepal and Bhutan ended in a goalless draw. Nepal and Bhuta have been in the same group since 2014.

In the latest match, Nepal had registered a 4-0 win over Bhutan. Similarly, Nepal defeated Bhutan 3-0 in a match held in 2019. Likewise, Nepal routed Bhutan 8-0 in the matches held in 2014 and 2016.

Even though Nepal managed to pile pressure on Bhutan since the outset of the match, it could not convert its chances into goals.

The absence of Sabitra Bhandari also known as Samba, the key striker of the Nepal team, was felt in today's match against Bhutan.
