Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Oli-led government that has completed 100 days.
"I don't see any reasons to be unhappy with the performance of the government led by CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli during the period of 100 days," said Deuba.
Talking to News Agency Nepal, Deuba claimed that the government has done wonderful jobs during its honeymoon days.
He further said that the government made significant efforts in rescue and search operations through the deployment of security personnel, dismissing the media reports that the government was ineffective in providing relief and rescue assistance.
"I, think, the government has done good jobs in its first 100 days. It gained a momentum during this period, also known as a honeymoon period," said Deuba, "It has made significant efforts in the rescue and search operations during the floods, landslides and inundation, at times even by using a chopper."
He went on to say that the incumbent NC-UML government will last for a full term and that Prime Minister Oli will lead it for two years starting the formation of this government and he will lead for one and a half years.
"He will lead the government for two years starting the day the government was formed and that I will lead for the rest of the term – one and a half years," said Deuba," NC is not unhappy with the performance of the Oli-led government. There is no point in becoming unhappy. Minor problems take place even within a party, UML is a different party. Everything is going well."
